This was the start of my venture into the unknown in 2016. I'd bought a one way ticket to Canada with Iceland as a stopover and had no plan beyond that. I just knew I had to get out into the world. Joined last minute for the Iceland leg by another adventurous soul I'd met just a couple of months before.

For four days we just drove, slept in the car, took photos, and ate canned beans and petrol station hot dogs. With the midnight sun, time meant nothing. We could go wherever whenever, chasing waterfalls and watching geysers erupt at 1am.
