I'm Chloe, a photographer and illustrator based on the Isle of Man.
Photography
My photography is rooted in my personal experience of place. It is my grounding practice, giving me a reason to get out into the world, and then forcing me to slow down and really experience somewhere. I'm drawn to quiet stories and the small narratives that exist within ordinary life, particularly the stories of creatives, makers, and the everyday guardians of the natural world.
Illustration
I'm still finding my voice with illustration as I've only given myself permission to explore in the last couple of years, so it's entirely led by curiosity, play and experimentation at this stage. I'm drawn to loose, expressive work full of lush colour and that's what I'd like to make. Something to live in a picture book.
